Musquodoboit River
Within an hour's drive from central Halifax, the Musquodoboit River offers great fishing for trout in a remote setting, while still being close enough to the city to make a day-trip into the wilderness. This river empties into Musquodoboit Harbour on the south shore, where you can visit a variety of local shops and popular beaches, as well.
