Shinimicas River

Much like that of River Philip, the Shinimicas River is one of the first rivers you will encounter upon entering the province - if you decide to take the scenic route through Amherst Shore, that is! This river is farther west and slightly smaller in comparison to other rivers along the north shore, but nevertheless you can expect to catch some nice sea-run trout if you chose to venture out to this hidden gem. While you're at it, we suggest taking a gander at some of the beautiful beaches and provincial parks in this area, like Amherst Shore, North Beach and Heather Beach Provincial Park - all of which are sure to offer secluded, picturesque views of our neighbours in PEI.
