South River Antigonish

Fall

Summer

Just east of Antigonish and crossing directly under Highway 104, you'll find South River Antigonish - a popular system amongst those angling for Brook and Brown Trout. Following the river south will take you one of Nova Scotia's provincial hatcheries, Frasers Mills Fish Hatchery, which redirects and uses water fed directly from South River. The hatchery also has a visitor's center where you can learn more about our operations throughout the province.
