Oakfield Provincial Park
Oakfield Provincial Park is a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to spend time on the water. Located on the shores of Shubenacadie Grand Lake, the park offers easy access for anglers, paddlers, and boaters, with a public boat launch and plenty of shoreline to enjoy the lake.
Fishing is a popular activity at Oakfield, with the large lake providing excellent opportunities to explore and cast a line from shore or boat. Visitors can also enjoy the park's sandy beach, picnic areas, and scenic lakeside setting, making it a great place to combine a day of fishing with swimming, paddling, or simply relaxing by the water
Easy Access Area

- A gravel parking lot with 2 accessible parking spots is located close to the washrooms, picnic area, and fishing areas on site.
- An easy access fishing platform is present at Jerry Lawrence Park. The platform is a long pier that extends out onto the lake on site. Another easy access pier is located further along the path through the site.
- Platform includes edge protection and railings.
- Two accessible outhouses are present in the park and are located centrally between the parking area, picnic area, and
fishing platform. - Rest areas with seating in the form of benches are present on site.
- A large picnic area is conveniently located near the site washrooms, parking lot, and fishing platform.
- Picnic tables are present in and around the picnic area.
